📦 What’s Included in the DIY Golf Simulator Enclosure

🖼️ Impact Screen Options

Choose from three screen materials — Standard, Preferred, or Premium. Each one is designed for a seamless floor-to-turf image with minimal bounce-back.

🖤 Black Nylon Enclosure

The heavy-duty black nylon enclosure shades your screen for the best projected image while doubling as a protective hitting bay — catching mis-hits and deflections so your walls stay safe.

🔩 Steel Fittings

Your kit comes with all the corner fittings required to connect your frame. (Pipes are sold separately.)

🔗 Ball Bungees & Zip Ties

Easily secure your screen with the included fasteners — 6" ball bungees and zip ties, with extras provided. Adjust the tension to match your swing style, hitting distance, club speed, and spin for the perfect balance between tightness and flex.

Enclosure Accessories

📦 Pipe Framing Kit

While the Pipe Framing Kit is optional, the frame pipes are essential. Your enclosure requires 1-inch EMT conduit, which you can easily find at most hardware stores. We’ll provide a detailed cut list — or, for a hassle-free setup, order the kit from us with pipes pre-cut to the exact lengths you need.

🧽 Foam Insert Kit

Protect your enclosure frame with foam inserts that fit neatly behind the screen flaps, adding extra durability and safety.

🎯 Baffles

Stop those high wedge shots in their tracks with ceiling baffles, designed to keep your play area secure.

🥅 Net Walls

Keep errant shots contained with side net walls, ensuring mishits stay inside the hitting zone.

💡 Back Cover Kit & Back Cover Pipe Kit

Eliminate light leakage for crystal-clear projected images. Choose the Back Cover Pipe Kit to get the necessary pipes included, or follow our provided measurements to source and cut your own.

EMT Requirements

Unless you've selected the Pipe Framing Kit add-on, you'll need to purchase 1-inch EMT (electrical metal tubing) from your local hardware store to complete your frame. We'll include all details on what lengths and quantities of EMT are required.

Please note, 1-inch EMT is the US trade name of the material, however, the true outer diameter is 1.163" or 27mm.

FAQ

🛠️ Care & Use Information

📏 How Far Should I Stand from the Screen?

For safety and performance, we recommend standing 10–12 feet away from your impact screen. This protects both the golfer and the screen from damage.

🚫 Can I Iron or Steam the Screen?

  • Ironing: Not recommended — heat can easily damage the material. To minimize wrinkles, unpack your screen right away and loosely fold it if storing.

  • Smoothing Wrinkles: Tensioning your screen with zip ties or ball bungees usually smooths out folds within a few days.

  • Steaming: A clean, consumer-grade steamer with distilled water can help remove stubborn wrinkles safely without leaving water marks.

🧼 Can I Wash the Screen?

We don’t recommend traditional washing. Instead, follow our detailed guide on “How to Clean Your Golf Impact Screen.”

⚠️ Are There Safety Concerns?

Absolutely — indoor golf should be both safe and enjoyable. Be sure to:

  • Follow the assembly manual for your enclosure

  • Keep children, pets, and spectators out of swing range

  • Protect ceilings, walls, windows, and nearby property

🟩 Do I Need a Golf Hitting Mat?

Yes — hitting mats provide cushioning, protect your joints, and let you practice with realistic tee height.

  • 4’x5’: Great for most golfers, including driver swings

  • 5’x7’ or 4’x9’: Best for wide stances or multi-golfer setups (left- and right-handed)

🏗️ Golf Enclosure Information

🔹 What’s the Difference Between Kits?

  • DIY Kit: Affordable entry-level option for home golfers

  • Pro Kit: Wider, deeper bays with added safety features for commercial or advanced setups

  • Curved Kit: Premium option with a seamless curved screen for panoramic visuals

📐 How Big is the Enclosure?

Actual dimensions are listed in the Resources section. Note: C-Series enclosures include a backset rear fitting, adding 8.25" to the depth — this built-in buffer protects walls from hard-hit shots.

📏 How Much Space Do I Need?

When planning your simulator space, consider:

  • Buffer space between enclosure and walls/ceiling

  • Enclosure footprint dimensions (including backset fitting depth)

  • Standing distance: minimum 10–12 feet from the screen

  • Golfer height & club length

  • Turf thickness, ducts, soffits, furniture, and doorway access

🚚 When Will My Enclosure Ship?

All enclosures are made to order for precision and customization. Production lead times vary by demand. Add to cart and enter your shipping info for current estimates.

🎯 What if the Black Nylon Enclosure Gets Hit?

It’s not designed for direct hits. However, if balls bounce off the white impact screen and into the nylon, you should have no issues.

🔄 Can I Get a Replacement Screen?

Yes — we can custom-make replacements. Contact our team or call 704-981-6501

🔧 Installation

🛠️ What Pipes Do I Need?

  • DIY Kits: 1" EMT (Electrical Metal Tubing/Conduit)

  • Pro & Curved Kits: 2" EMT (less common, ensure availability)
👉 For convenience, add a Pipe Framing Kit with pre-cut pipes. Otherwise, you’ll receive measurements to source locally.

⏱️ How Long Does Assembly Take?

Most kits take about an hour to assemble, depending on size (faster with two people). See our assembly manual and video for guidance.

🔎 What is EMT?

EMT = Electrical Metal Tubing/Conduit (not PVC). It provides the sturdy frame for your enclosure.

📽️ Where Should I Mount My Projector?

Placement depends on projector specs. Common options include:

  • Ceiling flush-mount (low ceilings)

  • Ceiling drop-mount (high ceilings)

  • Above your hitting mat

  • Frame-mount (Pro Enclosure only)

  • Floor-mount (requires a protective case)

🔗 How Do Ball Bungees Work?

Ball bungees and zip ties secure the screen to the frame.

  1. Insert loop end into grommet from behind

  2. Pull until the toggle ball touches the grommet

  3. Wrap cord around frame

  4. Hook cord over toggle ball to lock it in place
