EMT Requirements

Unless you've selected the Pipe Framing Kit add-on, you'll need to purchase 2-inch EMT (electrical metal tubing) from your local hardware store to complete your frame. We'll include all details on what lengths and quantities of EMT are required.
Please note, 2-inch EMT is the US trade name of the material, however, the true outer diameter is 2.197″ or 55.8mm.

How far away should I stand from my impact screen?
For both golfer and screen safety, stand at least 10–12 feet away when hitting into your impact screen.

 

Can I wash my golf impact screen?
Washing isn’t recommended. 

 

Are there safety concerns with golf simulators?
Yes — always follow the assembly manual, keep children and pets out of swing range, protect ceilings/walls/windows, and review our Terms of Sale before use.

 

Do I need a golf hitting mat?
Yes — hitting mats protect your joints and provide realistic turf feel.

• 4’x5’: Fits most golfers, even with driver swings

• 5’x7’ or 4’x9’: Best for wide stances or multi-golfer setups

How much space do I need?

• Leave buffer space from walls/ceiling

When will my enclosure ship?
All enclosures are made to order. Production time varies by volume. Add item to cart and enter shipping info to see estimated delivery.

 

What if the black enclosure material gets hit?
The black nylon isn’t built for direct hits, but if balls bounce off the impact screen into it, you should be fine.

 

Can I get a replacement screen?
Yes — we custom-make replacement screens. Call 704-981-6501.

 

How big is the enclosure?
Frame dimensions are listed in the Resources section. C-Series enclosures add ~9.5” depth with backset fittings. Larger sizes may include a center crossbar.

What are EMT pipes?
EMT = Electrical Metal Tubing/Conduit (not PVC).

• DIY Kits: 1” EMT

• Pro & Curved Kits: 2” EMT (harder to find, check availability)
  You can source locally or add a Pipe Framing Kit with pre-cut, labeled pipes.

 

How long does assembly take?

• Curved Kits: About 4 hours (best with 2+ helpers)

 

Is the curved golf simulator really DIY?
Yes! With two people, assembly is straightforward. If you’ve built IKEA-style furniture, you can handle this.

 

What pipes do I need for a curved enclosure?

• Requires 2” EMT

• Pipe Framing Kit (pre-cut, labeled) makes it easy, or source locally (diagram included)
  

 

Does a curved enclosure need a special projector?
Yes — use either:

• A projector with built-in image warping (BenQ AK700ST, BenQ LK936ST, LG ProBeam BU53RG)

• Or any projector + warping software (e.g., Immersive Display Pro)

📌 Important: Measure throw distance to the front edge of the curve closest to the golfer, not the deepest part.

 

How do ball bungees work?

• Insert loop end into grommet from behind

• Pull until toggle ball touches grommet

• Wrap cord around frame and hook over toggle ball
  Ball bungees + zip ties let you fine-tune screen tension.

Can I customize the curve itself?
No — all curved enclosures have a fixed Curve Rise of 4.5 ft. While the curve itself can’t change, the enclosure’s outer dimensions are customizable to fit your room.
